Whether you are choosing from our Signature Collection that is available for online purchase, or working with us on a invitation under the Couture Collection, you can express your personal style through color, paper, font and embellishment. General Questions
How soon before my wedding or event will I need to place my order?
Order your invitations as soon as your date, time and place have been confirmed. Three to six months, depending on the amount of customization and embellishments, before the ceremony is what most expert planners suggest. The more time you give yourself, the less stressed you’ll feel and the more carefully you’ll make decisions. Give yourself at least a 2 weeks to hand address, assemble, and stamp the invitations and reply envelopes. Or you can choose to have Couture Invito address your invitations for you using traditional or digital calligraphy.
Can you work long-distance?
Of course! Couture Invito works with clients all over the country via email and phone. We have even work with
local clients this way when they are too busy to meet in person.
Will I be able to proof my invite before printing?
All wedding and event invitations come with complimentary proofs. I set a approval date so that the invitations go to print on time and are assembled in a timely manner. No additional fees for proofing apply. If you choose to add glitter to your invitations, please add an additional 10 business days to your order because we will send you a hard-copy proof before glittering all of your invitations.
What is the difference between Dramatic Glitter and Delicate Glitter?
Dramatic Glitter is done using colored glitter that coordinates with the ink colors. They are bold, vibrant and stunning.
Delicate Glitter is done using pastel and clear, semi-transparent glitter that is barely there but gives a lot of sparkle. They are elegant, glamourous and subtle.... but no doubt very "sparkly."
Do I need to place a minimum order?
The minimum order for both the Signature Collection and the Couture Collection invitations are 25. Invitations can be ordered in any quantity above 25 (i.e. 32, 67, etc.). We do not require your to round up to the nearest 25 or 50. You can order exactly how many you want and need!
What type of ink colors and fonts do you offer?
All of the ink colors and fonts are listed on the ordering pages for stationery. There are no limitations to color on wedding and social invitations & announcements, if you have a specific color in mind, you are free to send me a swatch sample via snail mail so that I can use my color-matching system. Please email us for more information.
I would like to order more... Am I able to add on to my existing order?
Once you have sent us your approval we can no longer change the quantity of your order. If you need additional items you will have to place an additional, minimum order of 25 (quantity).
What types of printing do you offer?
Couture Invito offers professional digital printing (flat printing). We also offer engraved and thermography printing upon request.
Can I get my invitations pre-addressed and/or with calligraphy.
Yes, we offer pre-addresses envelopes for invitations/announcements. Please see product pages for more information and pricing.
How can I word my invitation appropriately with regard to sensitivity?
If you need assistance once your order is submitted, I will personally help you with your wording throughout the approval process. If you have immediate concerns, please contact us and a I will be happy to help you.
Can I order other wedding items such as programs, menus… without ordering an invitation suite?
Yes, you can order any of our products without purchasing an entire suite. If you have already ordered your invitations elsewhere, we are more than happy to assist you with all of your other printed materials for your special event.
Do you outsource or design everything yourself?
I do not outsource any of the orders. All the designs are created and completed by me! Personal attention is given to every order.
Do you offer popular stationery lines or are all of the invitations and announcements designed by Couture Invito?
All of our stationery and invitations are custom designed by Alesa Upholzer for Couture Invito.
How to order invitations by Couture Invito
If you choose any of the designs featured on our site, simply fill out the questions and options on the product page, enter the quantity during check out, complete the check out process and we will contact you via email and/or phone to complete the design using your colors, verse and all of the elements you desire.
Couture Collection by Couture Invito
If you would like a new custom design, please contact us to discuss your wedding or event. If you don't see it on our site, it doesn't mean we can't do it... we create invitations with feathers, faux snow and more... the possibilities are endless! And we'll have fun in the process! A custom online contract, with deposit requirement, will be created so that we can start working on the invitation you want. All deposits are non-refundable and go towards the final balance of your order.
When to Order Invitations
When ordering please keep in mind that invitations should be mailed 8-10 weeks prior to your event. Keep in mind the delays at the post office, especially around the holiday season. You will want to give yourself enough time to assemble and address them as well. We suggest that you order 3 – 5 months prior to your event date, however not all orders need that amount of time... please contact us to check our production schedule. Please give yourself enough time to have the proper consultation (in person, over the phone or through email), designing & proofing of your invitations and to address the invitations.
You will be able to proof your invitations by viewing a PDF file in your e-mails. You will then be able to make any corrections and have final approval before your invitations go to print.
With the Couture Collection, you also have the option to receive a hard copy of your invitation prior to the final delivery. If you would like to view a hard copy, please add 2 weeks to the standard delivery time, and let us know prior to the approval... because once approved we go to print!

Printing and the Environment
Is your printing done in the United States or overseas?
All stationery is proudly designed & produced in Northeast Ohio.
Do you use recycled paper?
Couture Invito paper is 100% Green certified, meaning that this paper has a FSC and SFI certification. Manufactured by wind power and are chlorine free. All stationery cover stock is 100% post-consumer waste recycled fiber. Invitations are printed on cover stock that is 50% recycled and 25% post consumer waste recycled.
